The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas is really an innocent little tale about Miss Mona (Dolly Parton) and Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd (Burt Reynolds). She runs The Chicken Ranch, an illegal brothel with a long history in a small Texas town, and he – well, he’s the Sheriff. Trouble comes when pious reporter Melvin Thorpe (Dom DeLuise) exposes the brothel, causing outside interests to want it shut down, and putting the governor (Charles Durning) in a tough spot. And then there’s them Aggies!
