Join us for an early morning screening of the Frank Sinatra classic, Suddenly.
Suddenly was shot in Southern California in Newhall and Saugus.
After the screening of Suddenly, Prof. Dana Polan will give a lecture on the role of American spaces in the art and life of Frank Sinatra, especially his well-known connections to Palm Springs. Dana Polan is Martin Scorsese Professor of Cinema Studies at NYU and chair of the department. He is the author of 12 books in film and media studies, most recently a monograph on Goodfellas for the BFI Film Classic series. His co-authored volume (with Chuck Granata) Hoboken to Hollywood: The American Dreams of Frank Sinatra is in progress (for Reaktion books).
